As far as I know, they did run the scoring software on 2 computers.
Then they imported the scores from 2nd computer into the master scoring file on first computer.
(Possibility 2 in original post).

If you want the overall to be calculated on the best score of all skiers in the competition (1000 points overall),
you have to choose an overall based on this method (World champ overall, E&A 1000 points, ...)

And, no, it is not possible in current version to add another boat judge.
Program needs to be changed for that.
