A and B final

Hi
We have plans of running a competition with one round of qualification and then the best to an A final and the rest to an B final.
One of our skiers told me that they ran a competition in France this way (Senior Tour) but I am not able to figure out how to do the configuration.
Is it possible to do this type of competition? How shall I do the set-up?

Best regards

Hi
Did some more testing and found the Final type in the Event Schedule.
I guess this is the one I shall use, I will do some more tests but if you have any hints that would be good.

You already found the way: create a second "event schedule" for B final", set the final type to A and B for both scheduled finals, and you are done.
Skiers of B final will be automatically classified after skiers of A final, when you choose the Preliminary + final classification mode.

Hi
Now I think I got it to work.
I did not manage to use the automatic to create the starting list but if I manually added A and B when making that start list it worked.
Is it possible to use the "From classification.." when making A and B final?
What I did:
I have 18 skiers. Two lines in the Event schedule (Slalom Men Final B and Slalom Men Final A)
Start making Final starting list.
Mark Final A and "From classification" 1 to 10, OK save.
Mark Final B and "From classification" 11 to 18, OK save.

But when doing like this the correct number of skiers where displayed but for some reason the start list from B where no longer correct.
Am I doing it it right or should I do it in some other order.

Best regards
Vilhelm

What exactly was not correct ? numbering of skier ? order ? was the start list cleared ?
You can attach the file there, but I will not be able to look at it for a few days.

Emmanuel

After the creation of start list for A the skiers in the B final where mixed. I where not able to figure out how.
Maybe there where some error with the result data I set-up for my test competition and same result for several skiers.
I will run on live result data this weekend and then it hopefully will work or I have the manual way of entering A and B in the start list.
Thanks for the help, I will report after the weekend if it works or else I might be able to give an better description.

Hi
Thanks for a really good program. Everything worked fine during the competition this weekend.
I where not able to test the problem with the automatic classification due to lack of time and therefore I used the workaround.
I will later try to repeat my problem in a test competition.

On feature request. In the entering of jump times the program detect time error and give coloured information about slow, fast, mandatory and so on.
In order to make it even easier to get an overview of what segment the problem is, the time might be able to mark with colour (red if fast and green if slow).
Also if possible give en option if the times to enter are seg1 seg1+2 seg3 OR seg1 seg2 seg3 since the TR rule talks about it as seg1, seg2 and seg3.

Once more thanks for a good program.

As far as I know, tolerances are given only for seg1, seg1+2 and seg3. Why should be an option there ?

Yes the timings in 13.03 refers to 1+2 and 3 but the re-ride chart to 1, 2 and 3.

Depending on the settings in the speed control system times are reported differently.
From what I understood from the boat judge, the segment times 1, 2 and 3 are all displayed first and the after a while (or when the driver press) the combined segment 1+2 is displayed.
So in order to report the times from the first screen the option of how the times is entered would be a nice feature.

We use PerfectPass Stargazer but it might be that ZeroOff displays the values different.

Best regards

Well, the IWWF should clear that out, and make this rule consistent with one or the other tolerance set, not both.
